School of Business and Management Student Council – Board of Councilors
The Board of Councilors (BoC) is the highest policy-making and law-making body of the School of Business and Management Student Council. It is composed of the SBMSC Vice President (as Head Councilor), the Vice Presidents of all recognized co-curricular organizations under SBM, and the Year Representative Chairpersons. The BoC exercises legislative authority through the crafting of ordinances and resolutions that respond to the needs of SBM students. It is responsible for budget appropriation, confirmation of appointments, and policy development. Every ordinance undergoes a multi-stage legislative process—including three readings and judicial review by the SBMSC Trial Court—to ensure constitutionality, transparency, and impact. The BoC may override a presidential veto with a two-thirds vote and may act in emergencies through delegated powers.
